Your Product Team
Implementing Circular Design
Independently
I help apparel brands embed circular design from inside the product process,
so sustainability stops being a strategy and starts being how products get made.
Does this sound familiar?
You have a circularity mandate and leadership backing,
but your product team is already over capacity and doesn't know where to start.
Sustainability and product are still speaking different languages.
Maybe you've run a pilot, but you're not sure how to scale,
and the window to build this properly before ESPR lands is closing.
You may have launched a repair and resale program.
Yet how to address circularity from the start, in the design phase, remains unsolved.
What if there was a clearer path forward?
Imagine if your brand could have...
01 an empowered team
Your product team has the tools, the criteria, and the decision framework to make circular choices independently. Embedded into how they already work, not added on top of it. Circular design is no longer something the sustainability team has to push. It's how products get made.
02 a road map
You have a phased implementation plan co-developed with your product team. Sequenced across categories and creation seasons, with ownership distributed across product functions. For the first time, you have measurable progress to report seasonally and annually.
03 a head start on ESPR
Most brands are waiting for ESPR delegated acts before they act. By the time requirements are finalized, the brands that started building circular design capability now will have a system already embedded in their product process. You won't be scrambling to comply. You'll be reporting on progress you've already made.
About me:
I spent over 15 years inside apparel product organisations across strategy, development, innovation, and marketing. I know what a product team is dealing with on a Tuesday morning.
What I've seen across brands, across categories, across roles is the same gap. Sustainability teams with goals, product teams with no clear path to act on them, and nobody in the room who speaks both languages fluently enough to build the bridge.
That's why I founded Fashion Reframe.
My work includes building a circular design implementation system at a billion-dollar global sportswear brand giving their product team the tools, the roadmap, and the confidence to implement circular design independently, without overhauling how they work.
I've also facilitated a consortium of global brands and retailers where we identified and addressed shared circular design challenges, exchanged best practices, and worked toward solutions for better integration of circular design across the industry.
I'm certified in Circular Economy and Sustainable Business Strategies from the University of Cambridge combining practical product expertise with systems-level thinking.
I created Circular by Design to give every apparel brand a system, built from inside the product process, that makes circular design the default way products get made.

My approach:
Circular by Design works across three connected phases.
Together they take your brand from barrier identification to an empowered product team,
without disrupting how they work.
The Product Reality System
Understanding what's actually blocking circularity in your products
We start by going inside your product range analysing hero products across your top categories to identify what's preventing circular design right now. Not a general sustainability assessment. A product-level diagnosis that reveals exactly where the barriers are, what can change immediately, and what needs more R&D time.
The result: a clear picture of where to act first and why.
The Process Integration System
Building tools that land at the right moment in your creation process
Once we know the barriers, we build the tools that address them. These tools are mapped to your creation calendar so they arrive at the exact moments when circular decisions can still be made.
The result: a product team equipped to make circular choices within how they already work.
The Circular Activation System
Making circular design stick after you leave the room
The final phase ensures implementation doesn't drift once the tools exist. We co-develop a phased roadmap. Sequenced across categories and creation seasons, with responsibilities distributed across product functions. We finish with a handover training session that activates the system with your team.
The result: a product team that owns circular design implementation independently, with measurable progress to report on seasonally and annually.

Here's how we can work together:
Circularity Audit
Ideal for: Brands ready to start but unsure where to focus first
A standalone diagnostic that analyzes hero products across your top categories, identifying what's blocking circular design right now and prioritizing where to act first. The first step before committing to a full engagement.
- A clear picture of your current circularity barriers at the product level
- Prioritized opportunities: what can change now versus what needs more R&D
- A foundation for building your circular design implementation system
Investment: 10,000 CHF
Circular by Design
Ideal for: Brands with a circularity mandate, leadership backing, and budget to build the full system
The complete 6-month* engagement from circularity audit through to a trained, empowered product team. Covers all three phases: Product Reality, Process Integration, and Circular Activation. *Time dependant on accessibility of product team.
- A product team equipped to make circular decisions independently
- Tools and criteria embedded in your existing creation process
- A phased implementation roadmap with measurable progress to report
Investment: 60,000 CHF
Implementation Retainer
Ideal for: Brands completing a Circular by Design engagement and moving into implementation
A flexible retainer supporting the product team through the first implementation phase: attending key milestones, troubleshooting, co-designing and delivering deeper functional training sessions.
- Continuity of expertise through the critical first collection implementation
- Deeper functional training tailored to each product team or function
- Updated guidelines and roadmap informed by real implementation learnings
Investment: 1,600 CHF/day
Common questions:
How do we know if we're ready for this?
There are two different versions of not ready. If the internal case for circularity still needs to be made and leadership backing isn't yet in place, this probably isn't the right moment. The Circularity Readiness Scorecard is a useful starting point for that conversation. If the backing exists but you're worried the product team won't engage, that's exactly the problem this system is designed for. The tools embed into how the product team already works. We're not asking them to do something new. We're changing how they do what they already do.
How is this different from hiring a sustainability consultant?
Most sustainability consultants approach circular design from the strategy side. They understand the principles but not the product creation process. Fashion Reframe works from the inside out. The tools, criteria, and roadmap are built around how your product team actually makes decisions: the creation calendar, the garment anatomy, the decision moments that determine whether a product can ever be circular. That's not something you can build from outside the product process.
We don't have budget for the full engagement right now, is there another way to start?
The Circularity Audit is designed exactly for this situation. At 10,000 CHF it gives you a clear, product-level picture of where your brand stands and where to focus first. The audit findings then make the internal case for the full engagement. It also means you start building now rather than waiting for a larger budget cycle.
We need internal sign-off before we can commit, how does that work?
That's completely standard for an engagement at this level. Once we've had an initial conversation, I can provide a one-page summary of the engagement scope, outcomes, and investment that you can share with whoever needs to approve it. If it would help to speak with your leadership team directly, I'm happy to join that conversation.
We're waiting for ESPR delegated acts before we act, is that the right approach?
This is the most common and most costly approach. By the time delegated acts are finalized, the brands that started building circular design capability now will have a system already embedded in their product process. The brands that waited will be scrambling to comply under time pressure, with overwhelmed teams and no R&D runway to overcome the harder circularity barriers. The window to build this properly is now.
